Friday Destination Dreaming # 8
I am very excited to let you know that today's destination dreaming is no figment of my imagination, and will actually be reality in about 24 hours.
My famdam and I are going to the airport at the gawd awful hour of 2AM to board a morning flight to Panama!!!!!!!!!!!
Winter can kiss my ass, I'm headed for heat and sunshine (hopefully).
We'll be traveling until December 26th, so my entries, if there are any, will be sporadic. Here's our Panama itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Panama and head to the Gamboa Rainforest Resort, where we plan to take an aerial tram through and over the rainforest canopy, and take a boatride on the Chagres River or Gatun Lake (baby permitting)
Day 2: More nature walking and lounging at the resort.
Day 3: Fly to Bocas del Toro, a small island on the Caribbean side of Panama.
Day 4: Water adventures - surfing for Papa?
Day 5: Build sand castles with Stella and encourage sloth-like behavior.
Day 6: Fly to Panama City, and explore the historic neighborhoods of La Vieja and Casco Viejo.
Day 7: Visit the Panama Canal and the visitor center at the Miraflores Locks.
Board a night flight to... (to be continued).
P.S. The Panama hat is actually Ecuadorian. However, this hat became popular by the men who wore it during the building of the Panama Canal, and thus the name.

Our little Stella will have more stamps in her passport than her Grammy and Poppy will ever have. What an adventure for all three of you. Remember to keep your humor when Stella decides that this isn't the place she wants to be at that moment. Enjoy your "sloth-like behavior" and have a safe trip.
